Disinfectant and Sanitizer Testing Services

Disinfectant and Sanitizer Testing Services

Bioscience Labs performs these challenging antimicrobial efficacy studies.  Whether you need the AOAC Germicidal Spray Products as Disinfectants Test or the AOAC Use-Dilution Test (for disinfectants requiring dilution) we offer support to your EPA product testing and marketing claims.

The test is performed by contaminating test carriers (composed of stainless steel, plastic, or other) with the test organism, dried and then exposed to the disinfectant for a specific contact time.  Post-treatment results can be described either qualitatively or quantitatively

Qualitative tests provide a “Yes” or “No” answer to whether the microbial organisms survive treatment with the Test Product.  The quantitative method studies (typically for sanitizers) enumerates the number of microorganisms initially inoculated and are then compared to the number of microbial organisms remaining after treatment with your disinfectant.
