Laboratory Technician (Clinical, In-Vitro, or Virology)

Job Description

BioScience Laboratories perform efficacy, safety and label claim evaluations, along with confirmatory testing for our clients in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, cosmetic, personal care, consumer products, food and allied manufacturing industries.

We are seeking multiple full-time Laboratory Technicians in each of our distinct areas of concentration. We are looking for a variety of different skill sets depending on the laboratory concentration area (listed below).

  • Clinical
  • In-Vitro
  • Virology

Base requirements for all areas: Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or related field and/or previous experience in a Laboratory preferred. Basic laboratory skills and awareness is required.

  • Maintenance of a Safe & Clean Lan Environment
  • Paperwork Management Skills
  • Comfortable Learning and Using Laboratory Equipment

Experience with aseptic technique is also strongly preferred.

Laboratory Expert in Virology

Laboratory Administrative Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a driven individual with exposure to a laboratory setting and/or scientific writing to assist our Principle Investigators and Study Directors in composing, managing, filling, and processing necessary study documentation. This individual needs to be extremely detail oriented as we are governed and audited by various organizations. This individual must also be reliable, responsible and driven as this position will include considerable autonomy. MSU Grads that are comfortable in a lab setting, and with laboratory or scientific writing experience, are encouraged to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in order to create, generate, process, fill out, and complete necessary study documentation
  • Review study paperwork at the various stages of the study process to ensure it follows the assigned protocol and verify accuracy where applicable.
  • Communicate with PI's, SD's, and other members of the laboratory and administrative team to ensure all study documentation is handled appropriately.

Product Supervisor

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Oversee accessioning of all Sponsor products received for testing at the Bozeman facility, including the return or disposal of such products per Sponsor’s direction.

· Responsible for the security of the Product Quarantine rooms.

· Communicate with Sponsor regarding timing and tracking of incoming products, testing dates, and shipping requirements, etc.

· Administer the creation, reproduction, security, maintenance, and use of all Sponsor product records.

· Develop or improve current records formats and storage methods as necessary.

· Communicate with Sponsors regarding product management needs.

· Work with Quality Assurance (QA) as necessary to ensure that all records relating to Sponsor’s products are complete, accurate and up to date.

· Make recommendations to management for improvements to the overall Product Handling system.

· Work with SDs and Pls or their assignees as Sponsor’s test products are checked in and/or out of Product Quarantine for study testing or returned upon completion of testing.

· Assist Accountant with general duties as assigned and as needed, including:

o Matching invoices with packing slips, monitoring pricing accuracies and comparing receiving documents, data entry of Accounts Payable invoices into QuickBooks accounting software, responsible for Accounts Payable filing

o Entering Credit card charges and verifying statements for all receipts.

o Entering weekly inventory adjustments (SMMERFS) into QuickBooks and keeping the weekly purchasing supply list updated.

· Perform other duties, as assigned, that relate to the assurance of high quality performance at BSLI, and/or as agreed with the department manager.

Laboratory Associate

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of BioScience Laboratories, Inc. The Laboratory Associate may be assigned to assist in any of the laboratories, subject recruitment, or general administration at BioScience Laboratories, Inc., provided they are trained appropriately.

  • Interface directly with the Manager/Supervisor to assure accurate, technically competent work;
  • Responsible for assuring that he/she is adequately trained to perform the work assigned; pursuing answers to questions related to the conduct of the laboratories; and gaining a thorough understanding of their work assignments;
  • Activities may include but are not limited to: assist with inventory of supplies, performance of weekly, monthly, and quarterly housekeeping, cleaning of glassware and other laboratory reusable components, perform laundering of laboratory coats and mop heads, recycle cardboard, make purchasing trips to local distributors, create subject product packets, receiving and distributing supplies for daily deliveries, plate counting, and study calculations.
  • Alert Laboratory Manager/Supervisor if the work area or the proper equipment, supplies, tools, or personal protective equipment (PPE) are not available to perform the tasks at hand;
  • Possess a high attention to detail to perform work assignments accurately and within time allotted.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while on company premises and assume other responsibilities, as assigned by the applicable Laboratory Manager/Supervisor.

Purchasing and Inventory Associate

Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintains BSLI’s required supply inventory including, but not limited to, reviewing Material Requisitions, creating purchase orders, negotiating pricing with vendors, placing and tracking supply orders, receiving incoming supplies, matching packing lists with purchase orders, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, moving supplies to staging areas for studies, conducting cycle-counting of inventory and quarterly physical inventory counts.

· Work with the Accounting Supervisor as necessary to ensure accurate accounting of all costs related to inventory control.

· Maintain inventory tracking system in Excel and QuickBooks to track the cost and use of supplies, including job-costing reports.

· Make recommendations to the Accounting Supervisor or Corporate Management for improvements to the overall Purchasing and Inventory Control systems.

· Build and maintain good vendor relationships.

· Enter invoices for Accounts Payable, ensuring that all bills have approval and are being entered into the correct General Ledger account and General Ledger period.

· Match invoices with packing slips, entering them in a timely fashion, monitoring pricing accuracies and verifying all items on each invoice have been received. Determine the proper general ledger account coding prior to entering all bills into the system.

· Responsible for vendor management including identifying, qualifying and auditing both new and existing vendors according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

· Other Responsibilities

o Backup the Product Handler with the receiving of Sponsor’s incoming products as required.

o Assume other duties as directed by Accounting Supervisor or Corporate Management.
